Michael Jackson Vs. Jesus Christ

So much attention is being devoted to Michael Jackson that you would think he died on the cross for man's sin. Michael was a very good and popular song and dance entertainer. But that is all he could do - entertain. He did try to give something to the children to make up for the childhood that he didn't really get to have. Beyond that, he was just as messed up as you and I are.

Why are we giving so much worship and adulation to a man who took our money for a song and dance, but never gave us anything but a song and dance?

Jesus Christ never made you pay for what He gave. What He gave was far more than what Michael could ever conceive. Jesus showed us how God wants us to live. Jesus cared for people and healed them (without payment). Jesus stood up against corruption, defended the innocent and gave the guilty a chance to repent. Jesus orchestrated His own death because He knew that was the only way our sins could be attoned for and we could have an eternal loving relationship with God.

What do you think Jesus would have said to Michael while he was still alive?

What would Jesus say to all of the people who are worshippng Michael Jackson today?

How do you think Michael Jackson was able to give record amounts to a record number of charities? What's the difference? Generally, if I give my money directly to charity, I get nothing for it but a tax write-off. What's wrong with those of us who already like MJ's music buying it, and letting him donate the money?

By the way...did you witness Jesus rising from the dead? I certainly didn't. I believe all religion is mythology. Not one religion is different enough from any other to make me believe otherwise.

One more thing...who are you to judge whether Michael Jackson was as 'messed up as you and I' are? Do you know that with absolute certainty? If I were a perfect Christian, but all you heard about me was negative, would you paint me with the same brush? Or would you hold your judgment of me?

I completely agree Christy....This Jesus crap needs to end.Plain and simple.
These Christians are the cause of the world's poverty and wars.
Oh why cant we build concentration camps and put every Christian insect in them...uneducated hicks.
Michael was a legend, will always be a legend
We dont even know who this Jesus guy is or if he ever existed so take your crap elsewhere

I admire rishi851's passion and agree with the sentiments about Michael who certainly was a truly great and inspirational man as well as an unprecedentedly talented entertainer. That he is idolized by millions is not surprising nor is it in any way disturbing. Jesus was a very good role model but in our complicated modern world Michael Jackson is superior.

If Jesus were alive when Michael was here he would probably tell MJ how much he admired Him and wished hw could be like Him
